Stephanie & Jonathan | Stationer’s Hall | London

Stephanie & Jonathan’s wedding is one that I’ll never forget, there was so much packed in to it. A very early start in a house very full of family!! There were many traditional Chinese elements to the day, which made for entertaining and enjoyable documentary wedding photography. Including a number of tea ceremonies, multiple hair stylings and dresses for Stephanie, traditional games and numerous drinking toasts during an amazingly tasty 10 course Banquet in China Town.

Jonathan and his groomsmen were required to complete tasks/challenges in order to be allowed entry to the Bride’s family home – the games were hilarious and has been invented by the Bridesmaids. After greeting his fiancee with her wedding bouquet – they joined Stephanie’s family for a tea giving ceremony. I must confess – I have never seen a family home so full of people and a cul-de-sac so full of cars! It was fabulous.

The ceremony was held at the Stationers’ Hall in London, a beautiful venue – in close proximity to St Paul’s Cathedral – fortunately there were no protesters around at the time! After another tea giving ceremony, quick change and a touching wedding ceremony – the guests moved outside for nibbles and drinks. The party then moved in to China Town for the 10 course banquet.

I was joined by Will as a second photographer who helped cover all angles on such a crazy day, here is a selection of our favourites, as always please leave your comments below.
