Sarah & Jon – The Wedding | Dovecliff Hall Hotel | Stretton

When I first spoke to Sarah & Jon about their winter wedding at Dovecliff Hall Hotel, the most apparent thing was the Jon was particularly nervous about having his photograph taken – especially for any formal photographs. I have been chosen as a wedding photographer countless times because of my relaxed approach to the whole wedding day (I always treat it as a wedding day and not a photo shoot and keep the formal/posed photographs to a minimum). But when it came to the formal part of the photography Jon still wanted more reassurance, so we arranged a Pre-wedding Shoot at their wedding venue, Dovecliff Hall Hotel. Needless to say, Jon was fine on the wedding day and I am really chuffed with the results. My favourites are below, just after these words from Sarah, the Bride:

“Hi Ed,

We have finally managed to narrow down the wonderful photographs to our favourites [for the album], it has taken a lot of thought and time as all of them are amazing. We are both incredibly grateful for the beautiful story your photographs tell, and we feel that you managed to capture the magic of our day. We felt incredibly relaxed, as you were aware Jon was very nervous about this element [the photography], but from the moment we met you his mind was put at ease. It was lovely to have you there to share our day. The slide show showing the highlights is very moving; it was the best day of our lives and thanks to you, we will be able to look back and cherish forever.

Once again, thank you for the beautiful photographs you captured at our wedding.

Sarah”
